Getting Started
Free Initial Consultation
We begin every new client relationship with a complimentary in-home consultation (20-45 minutes). During this visit, we will:
- Meet your beloved pet
- Learn about their daily routine and needs
- Answer your questions about our services
- Discuss rates and care techniques
- Review any special requirements
Booking Process
- Create an account and complete your and your pet(s)' profile
- Request a date and time for your complimentary New Client Meeting
During this meeting (typically 15-30 minutes) we will:

Get a door code or other means of entry (if we need a key please provide a key box)

Important Policies
Scheduling Requirements
New Client Meetings and subsequent services are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis and are dependent upon our availability. The more advance notice you can give us, the better.
We will do our best to accommodate all requests for services, but cannot guarantee availability.
Cancellation Policy
Services must be canceled by at least 6 pm the day before, or the full charge for the service will apply.
Boarding and Day Care at Aarf House

Getting Started
First Steps
- Create an account on Gingr and complete your and your dog(s)' profiles
- Review and sign the required agreement for services
- Schedule your free 3-hour trial visit (all dogs) and your full day of paid day care (required only for boarding)
- Review instructions for your dog(s)' trial visits
Free 3-hour trial visit (all new dogs)
We begin every new Aarf House client relationship with a complimentary trial visit for you and your dog(s) at the Aarf House. During this visit, we will:
- Meet you and your beloved dog or dogs
- Learn about their daily routine and needs
- Slowly introduce your dog(s) to the other dogs at the Aarf House, then spend the rest of their time getting to know them and observing their behaviors
- Give you a tour of the Aarf House
- Answer your questions about our services, rates, etc.
- Review any special requirements
Full day of paid day care trial visit (only required for boarding)
During your dog(s)' full day trial for boarding, we should be able to determine if he or she will likely be comfortable, happy and content staying with us for overnights.
We need at least six hours with them to be able to approve them for boarding.
Important Policies
Scheduling
- Day care and boarding spots are scheduled on a first-come, first served basis. Our limits are 20 dogs per day for day care and 12 dogs per night for boarding. We take reservations as far in advance as one year. Summers and holidays book well in advance, so get your reservations in as early as possible!
- A 50 % deposit of the total charge for a boarding stay is required to hold all boarding reservations. If your dog(s) do not pass their trials, a full refund of the deposit will be made at the time. We don't require deposits for day care.
- We will do our best to accommodate your dog(s) if your flight is delayed or you have some other delay, but we cannot guarantee that boarding reservations can be extended at the last minute.
Cancellation
- Cancellation for day care can be made any time with no charge.
- Cancellation for boarding must be made at least 2 weeks prior to the start date for a full refund, minus a $10 cancellation fee.
- Cancellation for boarding with less than two weeks' notice will result in a forfeit of the full deposit unless extenuating circumstances exist. We are happy to consider a full or partial refund of the deposit if so.
