Dog Hiker and Pet Care Specialist
I’m mom to Max, the white German Shepherd, and I’m an avid outdoor enthusiast of all activities. In the summer, you’ll find me hiking, mountain biking, or fly fishing the Green River with Captain Max at the helm. In the winter, I am mostly based in the Uinta Mountains for skiing and snowmobile guiding.
My favorite thing about working for Aarf is bonding with my canine friends over the years. I never knew my heart had the capacity to love so many animals. All of the dogs in the Aarf pack bring me such great joy!
I became an Aarf client in 2021 while working from home. Whenever an Aarf hiker would come to pick up Max, I would think, “Gee, they have the best job in the world.” I joined Aarf in 2022 as a team member and quickly realized I was right. Dog hiking is the best job in the world. My four-legged friends are always excited to see me, they have a blast on the trail, and I get the honor of taking home a very happy (and hopefully sleepy) pup to their family. I do dog hikes and overnights at the Aarf House.
My favorite hike involves picking out a new-to-me Uinta lake went to lake to fly fish on Google Earth with no trails. I find great joy and accomplishment in exploration, especially alongside Max. I started exploring the Uinta range as a means to escape the crowds in the Cottonwoods and not be limited by where I could visit with my dog due to watershed regulations.
