Tell us a little bit about yourself : My biggest passion is working with animals. Ever since I was little my dream job was to work at a doggy daycare. Knowing all the dogs as well as I do it’s almost like they are my own! I’m 20 years old and I’ve been working for Aarf for about 2 1/2 years, it will be 3 years in November of 2021! I’ve worked my way up to assistant manager and I couldn’t be more grateful! Country music is my favorite and I can’t get enough of it! I love traveling and anywhere that has a beach is heaven. I’m very close with my family and my best friend, she’s like a sister to me. Even driving in the car seeing a dog walking I squeal and get so excited! Animals are the center of my life! Some of my hobbies and interests are motorcycle riding, four wheeling, hiking, traveling, martial arts, bowling, music, and animals of course! Most of my hobbies and interests have been the same since I was really little. I am always ready for a new adventure and trying new things!
What is your favorite part about working for Aarf?
My favorite part about working for Aarf would have to be the relationships that I make with all the dogs! I treat every single pup that I meet just like they are my own. Working with them so closely you learn so much about their personalities and behaviors. It’s the best feeling in the world to see the dogs making friends of their own and getting to be themselves!
How long have you been with Aarf?
I’ve been with Aarf for a little over 2 1/2 years. It will be 3 years in November of 2021
Tell us about a funny dog sitting/hiking story if you have one.
Honestly there is so many funny things that happen when you work with such amazing dogs! This story though is worth sharing. I was away for a couple weeks on vacation and didn’t get to see my daycare pups that I have worked so closely with for a while. We got this new puppy that started coming regularly named Ryder. He’s a little golden retriever. We were having a team meeting with all my teammates at the Aarf house that morning and it was a daycare day, the first time I will have seen this little pup since I had been back. I opened the gate and he got so excited the second that he saw me. He ran full speed to me and rolled over on his back wanting belly rubs and he started peeing all over me! He was all wiggly and excited that it went everywhere! My face, shirt, and arms all got covered by his stream! He was wagging his tail the whole time non stop. It made me so happy that he was that excited to see me though. He stuck by me that morning talking to me and just always wanting pets! I laughed even though it was gross! I love this little boy!
What jobs do you do for Aarf?
I am the assistant manager for the Aarf house! I help the manager Morgan make sure everything is taken care of everything at the house.
What is your favorite hike in Salt Lake?
I would have to say my favorite hike would be Neff’s and going to the top and overlooking the entire valley.
